The first step in my learning is to create a plan that I can actually follow. I’ve been using Dropbox Paper to document my learning, take notes and plan my learning curriculum. However, recently, I’ve been falling in love with Notion. I probably should complete a video highlighting my planning process but that’s a blog for another day.
Here is a screenshot of my learning plan:
For the next 30 days, here is my plan. Instead of planning for 100 days this time, I will only focus on 30 day increments. Things change and adjusting to change is hard when you've planned for 100 days (3 months). I believe if I plan for a smaller timeframe and break my plan out over 4 weeks, it'll be doable. I should also include weekly plan reviews. If the plan no longer fits, I should be quick to update it! I'm so tired of being paralyzed by a huge plan instead of adjusting to a smaller schedule.
The next step in my learning is to diversify my learning tools. Balint’s book is amazing but I want to be sure to tap into all of my learning styles (auditory, visual, linguistic, kinesthetic, social, etc). I’ve signed up for podcast, Youtube channels, newsletters, courses, followed people on Twitter and etc.

Lastly, I will take my Sundays to time block my schedule. Everyday at 5am in the morning, I will start with my most difficult task. That's reading. I'll read one of my books (My goal this year is 30 books) and then start my morning routine. Afterwards, I'll enjoy some yoga or a light workout (My fav -> Stretching for beginners - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qULTwquOuT4&t=4s or Abs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pLT-olgUJs). So far, I've been enjoying this plan for a week now and it fits well. I really think my plan will work this time so wish me luck!
To diversify my learning, I usually find games to play to stimulate my mind. I am lucky that there are web design focused and web development focused games that I can play to help me train my eye and knowledge on the topics I think I know.Read More
